We represented a syndicate of lenders in the financing of multiple portions of “The Well,” which is a transformative project in downtown Toronto that includes new residential housing, retail concepts in both indoor and outdoor spaces and will also offer workspace solutions for thousands of users. There are multiple deals involved in this mandate as we are acting for multiple syndicates in the financings of the various different buildings of The Well development. 

The Well is at the epicentre of some of Toronto’s most vibrant areas. Being billed as the “first of its kind in Canada,” the project will encompass over 3 million square feet of mixed use residential and retail space.

McCarthy Tétrault advised the lenders with a team led by Paul Galbraith that included Christine Marchetti and Ryan Kady (Real Property and Planning).
