Thierry Côté is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montreal. His practice focuses on corporate and securities law, where he advises clients on mergers and acquisitions of public and private sector companies, on capital market transactions and corporate governance.

Thierry graduated from Université de Montréal's Faculty of Law with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). He has always combined his studies with high-level soccer; on the Cegep scene, Thierry was captain of his team and was named Academic All-Canadian for his performances on the field and behind a desk. Throughout his career with the Montréal University Carabins, Thierry continued to distinguish himself both collectively, by winning the U Sports Canadian Championship as well as a bronze medal, and individually, by being named on the Provincial, Canadian and Canadian Championship’s All-star teams.

During his studies at University, Thierry defended his values by getting involved in a legal clinic focused on the fight against racial profiling. He also sought to hone his legal skills by participating successively in a securities simulation and a business law case competition.

Thierry was called to the Quebec Bar in 2023.
